ASRI is located in the heart of automobile and engineering industry, at India’s Detroit – Pune. Barely 160 kms. from Mumbai, Pune is well connected by road, rail and air.

Extrudates of various types are manufactured by us, for e.g. Transparent Silicone Tubes, Profiles, and Beadings etc.
Our specialty is in manufacturing Rubber Products to customers’ specifications and we enjoy developing new products all the time for our clients.
The Manufacturing Facilities At ASRIWe have a full range of facilities to manufacture rubber products.
We have moulding presses, screw and hydraulic type, extruders, boilers and vulcaniser auto-claves. We have different sizes of mixing mills and kneaders for compounding of polymers and elastomers. We also have CNC injection Moulding Machines.
Our Research & Development Department is backed by a laboratory consisting of a full range of equipment to test shore hardness, tensile, modulus, elongation at break, compression set, ageing characteristics and the ash content in rubber. We keep ourselves fully informed of the results from laboratories all over the world regarding fluid resistance of various polymers under various conditions. This is to enable us to select the best polymers for your usage.
We have tool-room facilities for making our own dies, moulds, tools and fixtures.
The tools as well as the finished products are inspected on a magnified profile projector for final inspection.
Mr. D. T. Keswani founded the firm Messrs. Auto Steel Industries in 1966. This firm was converted into a company Messrs. Auto Steel and Rubber Industries Private Limited in 1996.
Since inception Messrs. Auto Steel Industries was synonymous with manufacture of high quality rubber products. The slogan initially was Import Substitution. Hence right from the first year the firm developed practically one new product everyday.
These included a variety of 'O’ rings, bushings, grommets, rollers, gaskets, couplings and hoses. A wide variety of seals were designed and produced simultaneously.
ASRI was also prominent in using new polymers and elastomers entering the market. Thus the use of Polychloroprene which entered as Neoprene in the market and many other elastomers was commenced, notably Nitrile, SBR, Silicone, Butyl, Fluroelasotmers like Viton, Dai-el, Tecnoflon, Fluorel now Dyneon and Flurosilicone rubber.
D. T. Keswani has been prominent in social activities and was one of the founders of Bhosari Manufacturers’ Association. This later became Pimpri-Chinchwad Manufacturers’ Association. He was President of both these bodies for over 5 years each. When P.C.M.A. practically became synonymous with his personal name, he retired from it.
We are located at Pune in its major industrial area known as Bhosari. Pune is the cultural capital of the State of Maharashtra. It is currently, the leading state in the country in terms of industrialisation. Pune is 160 kms from Mumbai, the commercial and industrial capital of the country.
Pune is well served by a variety of transportation systems. It can be reached by Air, Road (Express Way) and Railway.
Different types of Hotels are available in Pune; ranging from 5 Star to the economical ones. Accommodation in these is not difficult to find. However, a prior reservation is advisable.
Pune has a moderate climate throughout the year excepting the summer months of April, May and October. The minimum temperature in winter is about 5°c and maximum during summer about 35°c.
The population of Pune is quite literate and English is spoken and understood widely.
